The neighbor's horses. The two appies on the left are mother and daughter; the sooty palomino is the daughter. The chestnut with the flaxen mane and tail and the bay tobiano are half brothers.

Beautiful creatures all!
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteI've got three cats.
Cute! Love the toad and aren't those kitties just mischievious? The horses are so pretty. My neighbor is moving two in and I'm most excited. Especially to see if they'll eat my flowers:)
ReplyDeleteWonderful critters! Kitties, horses and a frog ... nice selection!
ReplyDeleteThe horses are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the cute kitties and Mr. Toad too :)
From the header on down - very special
ReplyDeleteAw, the froggie is so cute, as are both cats; kind of similar to my James and Fiona! :)
ReplyDeleteyou're so very lucky to have so many wonderful critters around
ReplyDeleteGinger cats are amongst the most beautiful creatures I think! Beautiful shot

ReplyDeleteThe first picture of the kitty is so cute! -Jackie

Wow Sweet Bay! Love seeing those gorgeous horses! How picturesque in the landscape... then to be able to mount and ride about with them... on them. I am so jealous!!! Your prince is a beauty! And Oh all that manure!! No wonder your gardens are so lush!
ReplyDeleteLove the kitty getting ready to pounce.
ReplyDeleteI have a special place in my heart for frogs :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know a darn thing about horses, but I know that these are all beautiful animals...especially the one that you said was your horse. You should tell us more about him/her. Now that we have a cat, I'm automatically more interested in everyone's kitty photos, so I was happy to see the ones you posted.
ReplyDeleteThey are all so pretty! I'd love to see horses everyday.
ReplyDeleteYour horse is beautiful.
The title of your post reminds me of the James Herriot books that I just loved.
I spent a half hour this morning chasing my creature small around the yard. Toby slipped past me when I let the dog out. There are fledgling wrens in the garden so he cannot go outside. My shoes got soaked in the dew so I'm still ticked off at him;)
ReplyDeleteMarnie
I have a ginger cat who looks like yours. The horses are beautiful too.
ReplyDeletePrecious and beautiful. Your horse is a very elegant creature and I guess a wonderful companion.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your comments!
ReplyDeletePrince (the horse) is a wonderful companion, aggravating but wonderful. He was hand-reared so tends to be pushy and I have to keep him in line. He also (believe it or not) has a highly developed sense of humor, which can also be aggravating. lol
He's a lot of fun under saddle, as he has a lot of natural talent and he's also a real trier.
Tommy and Prissy (the cats) showed up eleven years ago with their mother. They were probably about 6 weeks old, if that. They love to snuggle on the couch at night.
Awww, what a great post topic. Those kittens are too cute and wonderful photo of the frog. My daughter would love your horse(s) ~ she has a thing for them! It must have skipped a generation because I know nothing about horses.
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful creatures...horse, frog and kitties! gail
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Prissy is priceless!
ReplyDeleteThe cats are such a pleasure to have around, aren't they? So entertaining. And so are all the other creatures in our gardens.
ReplyDeleteLovely cat photos! Great one of the frog too, and those horses are beautiful.
I love the photo of you on your horse. You look great together.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, I was the same as your daughter -- I come from a non-horsey family. It's not that uncommon, even for men who ride. My aunt loves horses but never really had the opportunity to take up riding.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gail and Shari.
Kerri I do love to have the cats around. They love the farm and they love "the community couch" at night.
Thank you Janie. I'm thrilled to be riding this horse, it's been a long road with him.
