Camera Critters

With fewer flowers to choose from this time of year, the insects throng together in great numbers where flowers are blooming, in practically a feeding frenzy. Chrysanthemum 'Venus' is one of their favorites.

On the other hand, pineapple sage is the domain of the sulfur butterflies.

  6. Hi Sweet Bay~~ Bless their little hearts. Don't you wish Pineapple sage would start blooming earlier? Such a fabulous plant but so slow about things. I guess it's worth the wait.

  13. It will be many months before we can again enjoy the bees and butterflies, so I'll look at your photos and enjoy all your critters.

I did see a butterfly in the yard yesterday. I let Phillip take my camera and photograph what was interesting to him. He wasn't quick enough to get the butterfly.
