Isn't it just amazing how many different shades of green there are!? If you look at a mountain filled with trees, they are all green, but so different. It truly is beautiful!
With the foliage fully leafed out, it looks like summer there SB, especially compared to here (with everything still bare). I'm infinitely envious!! At least there are buds on my Serviceberry now tho! Maybe soon????
Green restores the soul. It's been called a neutral, but that's only when you have bright flowery things all around and the green leaves are the foil for all the brilliance. By itself in spring, green is a rich color all its own.
We haven't experienced that magic moment when all the trees and shrubs leaf out just yet. More than pretty spring flowers, green leaves always have such an amazing impact.
I love green! Yesterday, after heavy overnight rains, my world suddenly became very lush and green as many of the spring blossoms were washed away. It has a tropical jungle feel, though fortunately the hot summer temps haven't arrived. I love the many shades of green and the cool, serene look they convey.
Green is my favorite color in the spring, too! I just noticed yesterday that most of our trees are leafing out, even the big old oak. It's almost magical the way the leaves appear seemingly overnight.
My favorite color - Lovely photos!

There's nothing as beautiful as the shade of green in fresh new leaves. I celebrate it every spring. Pretty photos of your plants reborn.
ReplyDeleteI have been savoring the leafing out this spring. It seems slower this year since we've had cooler temperatures. Wonderful!

ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how so many gardeners consider green boring, and need to add different colors of foliage? Green really can't be improved upon!

ReplyDeleteNice photos. Green is at it's best right now.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite colours is the green of spring. There's nothing else like that 'new green' of freshly emerged leaves.
ReplyDeleteAfter a long dreary winter, I'll take all the green I can get! Lovely photos. :o)
ReplyDeleteGreenness is a beauty! Your next to last photo is awesome: fog and pines!
