  7. Dear SweetBay ~ I think I have a lot to handle and it's only 1/4 acre. I can only imagine all of the time and work involved with your farm and lovely gardens, but it is worth it. I always come away refreshed after visiting here. You inspire me.

Have a great weekend with your critters and your DH.

If there is such a thing as reincarnation, wouldn't you love to come back as a cat?:)

  18. Your garden is a slice of heaven to me! I grew up with 4 cats and they always claimed the best spots first. :o) There's an article in Organic Gardening this month about heirloom iris. There's a white one called Barbara Walther that looks just like your white one. Your penstemon look incredible! I can only grow the native ones in my clay soil but I stuck a few in pots last fall and so far they're chugging along.

  19. Tammy, wow, I wonder if that could possibly be my white iris. I will have to ask Laetitia Munro, who wrote some pieces that describe Barbara Walther and the iris named after her. (A few years ago I sent her some rhizomes of a lovely old iris that was growing at the top of our property when we moved here.) She works at Presby Gardens.

  20. Your kitties must know they live in a special place. You have worked hard to create a space that humans, pets, and wild life can all appreciate. Thank you for sharing a part of it with the virtual world!

  22. Ah now those kitties. I bet you only get to use the sofa when they decide to move. If you're anything like us, you won't have the heart to move them.

  23. Rob they love for us to sit on the couch with them! lol In the evenings I usually end up with Tommy and Prissy curled up on either side. Penny prefers the floor.
