Blooming Friday

The theme for this week's Blooming Friday is "against the light". My pictures may be more accurately described as bathed in light rather than against the light. My backlit shots usually end up looking murky.

A daylily from this past summer, 'Tupac Amaru'

I wish I knew the name of this iris -- have you ever seen one this shade of pink in an iris?

As always, thanks to Katarina at roses and stuff for hosting Blooming Friday!

  19. I wish someone knew the name of those beautiful pink iris too ~ I want some!!! Just gorgeous. Were these from earlier in the year or are they a reblooming variety?? I've often wanted to try a rebloomer but haven't ever added any to my garden.
The light on the daylily is fabulous ~ not murky at all SB ~ you've definitely captured it!

  25. Hi sweetbay; certainly many wonderful
plants enhancing your autumn. The grasses, wildflowers and colourful leaves all are very special. Beautiful, graceful irises like a dream. The horse fennel looks also interesting. I like those sort of plants very much. Love the blue asters, some I can grow here and I am very pleased about it.
Also had a look at your roses, all I can say GORGEOUS!
