After last week's snowstorm (this go-around we just got bucketloads of rain), the Bluebirds flocked to the Japanese Beautyberries near the house. In between feeding they used the trellis and the Tulip Tree and Sweetgum beside the driveway as lookouts.
In this picture they look like a bunch of birds caught in a mist net. The tips of the branches are too flimsy for their weight so they often had to bend way over or flap to keep their balance.
You can see three Bluebirds perched here in this Sweetgum.
The sky and the bird really were this blue.
