So many beautiful blooms and colors. Your kitties look like the live the good life!
Alot of beutiful pictures. Lovely irises on the 7th. Have a nice weekend./Anette
I love your gardens and often reflect how you moved the house and what changes there have been.
Farms are hard work...but so worth it! Your pictures are lovely, especially the kitties! Have a wonderful weekend. Carla
I can only imagine how much work has to be done on such a large area! Love the fields. Spring is just around the corner:)
Beautiful soft colours and a stylish house. reminds me of houses I coveted when I visited Virginia some years back.
Dear SweetBay ~ I think I have a lot to handle and it's only 1/4 acre. I can only imagine all of the time and work involved with your farm and lovely gardens, but it is worth it. I always come away refreshed after visiting here. You inspire me.Have a great weekend with your critters and your DH.FlowerLady
Your pasture looks great! All the natural rainfall and warm climate really makes the grass grow.
Your have an beautiful farm. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like heaven! You have such a beautiful property to stretch out in and play...the gardens (and the horses and the cats) are just lovely.
You're so right...as jealous as I am of all your wonderful space, I grew up on a farm, so I know it's A LOT of never-ending work too! Love the ginger kitty ;-)
You're farm gardens are beautiful. I especially like how your bordered your fields/paddocks with shrubs and flowers.
Maintaining so much area, both farm and gardens, is indeed hard work but so well worth it as evidenced by all your beautiful photos of your gardens, Sweetbay. If there is such a thing as reincarnation, wouldn't you love to come back as a cat?:)
Yeah! A delight to see all these soft and lovely blooms in your lush gardens. Your horses and kitties too! I love the feeling of your gardens Sweetbay. Thank you! Thank you!
It's always breathtaking to see your piece of heaven. Beautiful. Hard work for a perfect result. Congratulations !!!
Your hard work produces beautiful results. Cats are the same the world over - masters at seeking out a comfortable spot!
Wonderful to see pictures of your kitties. They look well-cared for and very much loved. Oh, you're blooms are easy on the eyes, too. lol
Your garden is a slice of heaven to me! I grew up with 4 cats and they always claimed the best spots first. :o) There's an article in Organic Gardening this month about heirloom iris. There's a white one called Barbara Walther that looks just like your white one. Your penstemon look incredible! I can only grow the native ones in my clay soil but I stuck a few in pots last fall and so far they're chugging along.
Tammy, wow, I wonder if that could possibly be my white iris. I will have to ask Laetitia Munro, who wrote some pieces that describe Barbara Walther and the iris named after her. (A few years ago I sent her some rhizomes of a lovely old iris that was growing at the top of our property when we moved here.) She works at Presby Gardens.
Your kitties must know they live in a special place. You have worked hard to create a space that humans, pets, and wild life can all appreciate. Thank you for sharing a part of it with the virtual world!
It looks like all is soft and sweet in your world. Loved seeing it through your eyes.~~Dee
Ah now those kitties. I bet you only get to use the sofa when they decide to move. If you're anything like us, you won't have the heart to move them.
Rob they love for us to sit on the couch with them! lol In the evenings I usually end up with Tommy and Prissy curled up on either side. Penny prefers the floor.
Your cats certainly know how to enjoy life! They're so cute!
